Upon selecting a program, kindly go through the terms and conditions detailed below as your booking is bound by these terms. Your payment for a reservation for any PLANET ODYSSEYS program or tour implies your acceptance of all the provisions stated in these Booking Terms & Conditions.
Please be aware that the program schedule is subject to changes based on weather conditions and group preferences. PLANET ODYSSEYS is not liable for any loss or damage to your personal belongings or any consequences arising from such events. We cannot be held accountable for any sickness or accident that you may experience during the tour. If any illness or accident occurs, the client assumes the responsibility and any associated costs. As a client, you are liable for the equipment lent to you; any damage or loss must be compensated upon return to Puno. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that they are physically and mentally capable of participating in the tour, and PLANET ODYSSEYS will not be held responsible if this is not the case.
Prior to making any payments, please get in touch with us. At the time of booking, a non-refundable 50% deposit per person for the chosen program is requested. By doing so, you enter into a contract with PLANET ODYSSEYS, and we proceed to accept and confirm the booking. Travel arrangements are only considered confirmed when PLANET ODYSSEYS states it in writing.
You can make this 50% pre-payment via WESTERN UNION, PAYPAL or online payments, and should be made in the name of a PLANET ODYSSEYS staff member.
Please note that any bank taxes and transfer costs will not be covered by PLANET ODYSSEYS and must be paid by the client.
The program price is in U.S. dollars, and we require you to pay your final balance at our office at least 24 hours before your tour. We currently accept cash (Peruvian soles or American dollars) and Visa (which charges an 8% commission). The agreed program price per person at the time of booking confirmation will not change.
If you need to cancel, please notify PLANET ODYSSEYS in writing, noting that the deposit is non-refundable. Please provide the reason for cancellation as your insurance policy may cover it.
If we receive a cancellation notification more than 15 days prior to departure, you will forfeit your 50% deposit. Between 15 to 7 days before departure, 50% of the tour price will be refunded only if the full amount has been paid in advance. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 48 hours before departure or in case of cancellation of only a part of the tour.
PLANET ODYSSEYS might need to make changes or cancellations due to factors beyond our control such as technical problems, weather conditions, strikes, riots, and governmental decisions.
In such cases, we will offer alternatives to execute the program or similar travel arrangements but cannot provide refunds. We reserve the right to modify the itinerary if necessary, and we will make every reasonable effort to stick to the program arrangements as closely as possible.
If any significant changes occur, we will, if feasible, inform you before the departure date and propose alternative arrangements. Any additional costs arising from such changes will be borne by the client. Please note that PLANET ODYSSEYS will not reimburse any additional expenses incurred by the client in preparation for the tour, such as international tickets and fees, visa costs, immunizations, among others.
However, in case of cancellations caused by PLANET ODYSSEYS, we will refund 100% of your payment.
Some of PLANET ODYSSEYS’ itineraries expose participants to the authentic nature of the environments visited, which may involve the personal risk that could result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis, death, or damage to the client, their property, or third parties. The client understands that these risks cannot be completely eliminated without compromising the essential qualities of the activity and thus assumes them as part of the tour. The client acknowledges their awareness of their physical and health condition and assumes the risks mentioned above. The client exempts PLANET ODYSSEYS from any responsibility linked to any accident or injury that may occur.
The company’s guide or representative’s decision is final on all matters likely to endanger the safety and well-being of the tour group. It’s mandatory to follow the guide’s instructions at all times.
The client must comply strictly with the laws and drug regulations of Peru. Failure to do so, or if the client’s behavior interferes with the well-being of the group, the guide or company representative may direct the client to leave the tour without any refund.
The client must have a valid passport. Either the original document or a copy has to be carried during the tour.
We highly recommend obtaining travel insurance that covers accidents, medical expenses, and emergency repatriation, including rescue and air ambulance. We also suggest coverage for cancellations and lost luggage.
While PLANET ODYSSEYS directly operates a portion of the services included in a program, we also coordinate with airlines, hotels, and other independent entities to provide you with the travel services you purchase. We make all reasonable efforts to ensure these organizations uphold our quality standards. However, we have no direct control over these independent suppliers.
Therefore, PLANET ODYSSEYS cannot accept liability for any losses, damages, inconveniences, delays, etc.
If a client has a complaint against the company, the client must first inform the guide during the tour so that the guide can attempt to rectify the matter. Any further complaint must be submitted in writing to the company within 7 days of the end of the tour.
All claims or disputes will exclusively be resolved in Puno, Peru, whose courts will have exclusive jurisdiction under Peruvian Law.
Any claims for damages against PLANET ODYSSEYS shall be limited to the value of the particular item in dispute. In all cases, the company explicitly excludes all liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or expense, including loss of profits.
