Overview
This 6 day Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca tour package combines Peru’s most iconic destinations into one seamless journey through the Andes. Explore Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, the Sun Route, and Lake Titicaca with expert local guides. The package includes hotel accommodation, train tickets, entrance fees, and transfers.
Some journeys deserve more than a quick visit. This six-day tour is one of them.
Beginning in Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, you travel through some of the most iconic landscapes in all of South America. You explore the valley of the Incas. The dramatic Andean valleys surrounding Machu Picchu stretch out in every direction.
Then the journey continues south, following a historic route all the way to the shores of Lake Titicaca.
At high altitude, with experienced local guides by your side, you visit the floating islands and Taquile Island, places where pre Inca traditions are still very much alive. Every stop on this route has a story, and every story runs deep.
The machu picchu and lake titicaca combination is what makes this tour so special. Two of Peru’s greatest wonders, connected by a single seamless journey. From the archaeological site above Aguas Calientes to the vast blue waters sitting far above sea level, this is Peru at its most extraordinary.
All tickets, accommodations, and transfers are included, from your arrival in Cusco to your final transfer to the airport. All you need to do is show up ready to be amazed.
Tour Highlights
- ✓ Very few tours connect Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca as seamlessly as this one. These are two of the most iconic destinations on the planet. Most travellers only get to one. This tour gives you both — without the stress of planning the journey between them yourself.
- ✓ The Sacred Valley is not just a stopover on the way to the main event. The valley of the Incas holds some of the most fascinating sites in all of Peru — the circular terraces of Moray, the ancient salt pans at Maras, and the mighty fortress at Ollantaytambo. We give each of these places the time they deserve.
- ✓ From the weaving communities of Chinchero to the reed island people of Lake Titicaca, this tour puts you in real contact with cultures that have maintained their traditions for centuries. The floating islands and Taquile Island are not tourist recreations. These are living communities, and your local guides make sure you experience them with genuine respect and understanding.
- ✓ Arriving at Machu Picchu early in the morning, before the crowds arrive, is a completely different experience from showing up mid-afternoon. We time your ride to Machu Picchu so you are among the first through the gates. Your bilingual guide is with you every step of the way, turning what could be an overwhelming archaeological site into something deeply personal and memorable.
- ✓ Every ticket, every transfer, every night's accommodation, and select meals are included. From the moment you land in Cusco to your final transfer to the airport, there is nothing to figure out. You travel. We handle everything else.
- ✓ The journey from Machu Picchu to Lake Titicaca runs through some of the most dramatic and historically rich landscapes in Peru. The Sun Route takes you past colonial churches, ancient Inca temples, and the highest point of the journey at La Raya Pass — well over 4,300 metres above sea level. It is a travel day that earns its place in the itinerary.
What to Expect
Expect to be moved. This tour covers a lot of ground, from the ancient cobblestones of Cusco to the wide blue silence of Lake Titicaca. Every place along the way has the kind of weight that stays with you. You will walk through the lost city of the Incas at sunrise and stand at the highest point of the Sun Route with the Andes all around you. You will drift past the floating islands of the Uros people and climb the terraced hills of Taquile Island. None of it feels like ticking boxes. It feels like actually being somewhere that matters.
Expect to feel the altitude. This is Peru, and the journey takes you high above sea level for most of the six days. Your body will notice it. The first morning in Cusco tends to be the most intense. A gentle headache, a little breathlessness, a reminder that you are not at home anymore. Most travellers find their footing within a day. The itinerary is paced with that in mind. Your guides know the signs and will always make sure you are comfortable. Drink water, take it slow, and let the acclimatization happen naturally.
Expect a small group of people who came here for the same reason you did. This is not a bus tour of fifty strangers. The groups are intentionally small, the guides are bilingual and genuinely passionate about what they share, and the pace allows for real conversation, with your guides, with the communities you visit, and with the people travelling alongside you. By the end of six days, the journey tends to feel personal in a way that is hard to explain until you have experienced it.
Tour Itinerary
Arrival in Cusco (Cusco Airport Transfer | Afternoon)
Your Peru adventure begins the moment you land.
A private driver meets you at Cusco's Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport and takes you straight to your hotel in the heart of the city. No waiting around. No figuring out taxis. Just a smooth, easy transfer into one of the most remarkable cities in the world.
Cusco is the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. It sits at around 3,400 meters above sea level, and you will feel that altitude as soon as you step off the plane. The air is thinner here. Your body needs time to catch up.
This afternoon is yours. Take it slow. Walk down to the Plaza de Armas if you feel up to it, and let the city sink in. The stone walls, the baroque churches built on top of Inca foundations, the narrow cobblestone lanes, it all tells a story that goes back centuries. But there is no rush today.
Drink plenty of water. Rest well. Tomorrow is a big day.
